The hotel is peacefully located on the edge of Emmen, in the province of Drenthe.
The Drenthe woods are within walking distance. The hotel is located on a road that leads to many cycling and hiking routes.
The famous Dierenpark Emmen (Zoo) is a 10-minute walk away. Tickets are available at the reception desk.
The centre of Emmen, with its many shops, is also within walking distance.
The Veenpark in Barger Compascuum, with its background information on peat production and the historical park, is and interesting excursion for all ages. The Treetop Pathway and the Megalith Information Centre in Borger are also well worth a visit.

Tulip Inn ten Cate is very easily to reach at the highway (A37-A28). When you approach Emmen, please take the exit to your right Emmen - Zuid (meaning Emmen South Side), drive to the end of this exit and turn right, after which you take the first exit on your left. Follow this road until you reach traffic lights, here you turn right and then take the first turning to the right. Tulip Inn ten Cate is located on your right hand side.
