Travel information

Coming from the A4 (east of Leiden)

Take exit number 7, Zoeterwoude-dorp, Leiden, Voorschoten (Vlietland), N-206.
When you get to the side-road, turn left, direction of: Leiden, Voorschoten, N-206.
Follow the signs for: Leiden-zuid, Katwijk, Voorschoten, N-206.
The road curves to the left in Leiden, a long curve.
Turn right, follow: Leiden-Zuid, Katwijk. You are now on the Churchill laan.
Before the bridge across the Rijn, turn right in the direction of: Centrum. You are now on the Haagweg which becomes the Noordeinde (Please refer to the map).
Go straight on, cross the railroad tracks, and the Noordeinde becomes a narrow street.
At the end of this narrow street, turn right immediately, on your side of the canal, and you will be on the Rapenburg. (Note: it is easy to miss this turn; if you do, make sure you do not go straight on because no cars are allowed in the Breestraat).
You are now on the side of the Rapenburg with the odd numbers. Hotel De Doelen is on the other side, at number 2.

Coming from the A44 (west of Leiden)
Take exit 8: Leiden, Utrecht, Valkenburg, Katwijk.
Turn left, follow: Leiden.
Quickly after, turn right, follow: Voorschoten, Utrecht, N-206.
Turn left straight away, follow: Voorschoten, Utrecht, N-206.
Follow this road for a while, past the railway fly-over until you get to the bridge across the Oude Rijn.
Turn left, straight after the bridge, following: Centrum. You are now on the Haagweg which becomes the Noordeinde (Please refer to the map).
Go straight on, cross the railroad tracks, and the Noordeinde becomes a narrow street.

By Foot

Leave the Central Station at the main entrance (centre). This is "De Stationsweg" which continues in "de Steenstraat". At the end of "De Steenstraat" turn left over the bridge. After the bridge, turn right. Continue straight ahead. This is "De Prinsessekade" which continues in "het Kort Rapenburg". At the end of "het Kort Rapenburg" pass the crossing. This is "het Rapenburg" with at your left, Hotel De Doelen.
