By Air:
SA Express from Johannesburg to Hoedspruit.
SA Airlink from Cape Town or Johannesburg to Hoedspruit.
Private charters are available to a private airstrip; the lodge will provide transfers.
By Car:
- From Johannesburg take the N12 to Witbank.
- Turn left into Belfast and at the end of town, turn right towards Dullstroom on the R540.
- Stay on this road through Dullstroom until you reach Lydenburg.
- Follow the signs for Ohrigstad on the R533.
- Go through Ohrigstad and stay on this road which will take you through the Strijdom tunnel. Enjoy the views of the bushveld.
- Stay on this road until you reach Swadini Snakepark on the left-hand side.
- Turn right onto the R531.
- Follow this road until you see the signs for Orpen and our camps: Imbali Safari Lodge, Hoyo Hoyo Tsonga Village and Hamiltons Tented Camp.
- Turn left towards the Orpen Gate and stay on this road, the R531, for 40 km.
- Once through the Orpen Gate take the H7 towards Satara.
- Drive for approximately 6.7 km.
- Turn right onto the S106 dirt road.
- After 1.6 km, turn right onto the S140 towards Talamati.
- After 19.5 km, turn right onto the S145.
- Continue along the S145 for 10 km and then turn right at the Imbali sign.
- After 3.5 km, turn left at the signposted T-junction.
- From the Orpen and Kruger Gates, take the S36 and follow the signs to the lodge.
Once you are through the Orpen Gate it will take you approximately one hour to reach the camp.
- Important information

Imbali is in a malaria area and malaria tablets are recommended all year round, so please consult your doctor. Take comfortable light clothing, walking shoes, sun hats, sunglasses, sun lotion, insect repellent and bathing suits. During wintertime it is still warm during the day, but it can become very cold on the game drives and at night. It is advisable to bring warm insulated jackets.

Please be aware of gate entrance times into Kruger National Park as they do vary throughout the year, depending on the season. Entrance into the park via the Orpen Gate should be no later than 2 hours prior to closure time, via the Kruger Gate leave no later than 3 hours prior to the closure time.

Whilst driving within the Kruger National Park, please adhere to the legal speed limit of 50 km per hour on tarred roads and 40 km per hour on dirt roads. Please adhere to the Kruger National Park safety precautions and do not disembark from your vehicle, unless you are in a designated area.
A mobile phone signal is only available at the entrance gates and close to Skukuza, it is therefore recommended to make your last necessary calls at the gate upon entry.
Between 1st May and 31 August 2009 it will be R1740.00 per child from 6 to 11 years old

One child from 6 to 11 years is charged ZAR 2360.00 per night and person when using existing bedding.
