I found my stay very good. Most of the personel was very friendly and helpful. The only remark is the service during breakfast. The person who was working there spoke no english and could not help me with me questions about the breakfast. I am a vegetarien and I would have liked to know what contained meat and what not.

  • the friendly help of the other employees. The different kind of thea at breakfast
  • The help during breakfast

I've choosed this hotel second time when visiting Budapest and next time most probably I stay there again.

  • Temperature at corridors upstairs was little to high but it was not such a big inconvenience.

We enjoyed our stay at the Corvin Hotel in Budapest for 5 nights in June 2007 especially because the staff were so friendly and helpful and the breakfast facilities and food were great. Our room was modest, reflecting our budget but adequate and clean. The location was good as we were going to a conference a the university. It was a little out of the way from the centre of the city, but that was no problem once you got used to using the trams and rail system nearyb. The hotel is in easy walking distance to the Holocaust museum and museum of Arts and Crafts which are well worth a visit, a trip of the red buses is not to be missed nor is the national museum

  • There were two highlights to our stay, the first was the very helpful and friendly staff, especially Edina and Berta on the front desk who were always bright, friendly, helpful and willing to offer intelligent and knowledgeable advice and assistance. The second was the hotel's breakfast facilities and food. I especially liked the hungarian sausages available for the cooked breakfast and the coffee was good too.
  • "Could be improved" Information for visitors - I wanted to know how to find the local supermarket and aundromat but felt reluctant to ask - a clear and simple statement of directions for such facilities would help - how to get to and use the train and bus service. It is a great help that the hotel sells tickets. I think the hotel should provide free wireless internet access. I had to access the internet from the Hotel Sissy next door and that was very expensive.
