Dear Sir/Madam, Thank you for sending your e.mail. I had no time yet to write a little note to the Budapest tourist centre, as we had a bad experience in this, could be,lovely hotel. The room was clean but so very small, in the bathroom we had to sit sideways on the toilet, as there was not enough room to sit straight like on a normal toilet. We know this had been a nunnery in the old days, which gives it a little bit of charm ,so this we could live with. But there is something else you had, in our vieuw to see to. It seems that there are many first time guests, who will never come back because the noise from the swimmingpool is devastating. In the day time it is bearable, but at night it is terrible. VERY LOUD music, we could not hear our own TV, had closed the little window even. When we went to the desk clerk he was very apolegetic and the only thing he could do was ASK the people, [swimmingpool or pub there], to put the noise down a bit. This worked out not very well, as they made the noise even louder. We heard that this was an ongoing problem and that many guests would, because of this barbaric behaviour of those morons, never come back to this hotel. We were very sorry for the hotel staff and the owner, because for sure we will never come here again. Like to hear from you if this problem can and will be solved. .

helpfull and friendly desk staff

The hotel was comfortable enough although the bathroom was VERY small - we even had to sit "side saddle" on the toilet because there was no room to sit straight on! We didn't know about the water polo every night either, but thankfully it finished before 10pm. The reception staff were extremely helpful.

The cost

No soap, feather pillows, water polo with bright lights

No more stay in this hotel

Good location, nice personal

Too small room ( 004), location below the ground level, the view outside the window completely covered by the bushes, no place to put the suitcases, no chair, no table. We have had impression, like it was the prison. Personal in the reception told us, it is not possible to change the room, because the hotel is full occupied. For remembering - we have made our (changed) reservation on 5 June 2007, 3 months before arrival. Very poor and monotonus menu in the beakfast.

Our stay was made enjoyable by the very helpful and congenial staff. Although the rooms are small, they are clean and comfortable and adequate for our needs. We would stay there again. Only down side, lack of fresh fruit at the breakfast.

We toured Budapest, taking in the sights. The hotel was quite close to where we wanted to be at a reasonable cost. We were 2 mature couples on vacation from Canada together.

It could look a little more inviting from the outside. The noice from trams could be an issue with some, but not for us. We had no difficulty sleeping

Hotel Csaszar is a very clean hotel. You'll be amazed how symmetric the curtains are hung in the hallway! There's a swimming pool, where people keep on swimming up and down and... . We asked for a double room. We were quite suprised when we got a room, with two single beds where there wasn't even space enough to put them next to eachother. The bathroom was also quite tiny. The astonishment grew even bigger when we crawled into bed. The hotel is next to a railway for trams. If you think they don't drive around in the middle of the night, you'll be quite mistaken! They do! And it feels as if you might fall out of your bed everytime a tram passes. If you like a good nights rest, this hotel is not to be recommended!

The proximity to the Lucasz bathhouse. And the fact you can get good food at 'Poco Loco', just a five minute walk from the hotel. You even get a 10%discount there as guest of the Csaszar hotel. (We accidently found out, no one in the hotel ever told us).

The location, being so near to the railway of the trams. The breakfast, rather poor, not much choice.

Good hotel in brief! Good staff, swimming pool in the area, fantastic restaurant 50 m from the hotel, not far from the center, just too small rooms, but in general we were satisfied.

breakfast, swimming pool, staff
