Civis Grand Hotel Aranybika

If you are looking for a sentral hotel with atsmophere and not only want to see foreign tourists, but like to meet lokal people going to conserts and other arragenments - infront of the hotel and also inside the hotel there is a lot of cultural evenements going on. To stay in Aranjabika is to stay in heart of Debrecen - when I find time, I come back to stay there again.

• All the reseptionists I met and the two ladies in the bar was polite, helpfull and service minded.So was also the two gaurdians at the back enterance, even they was not speaking a foreign language, they were all very sympathic and helpful persons to me. It is very good with the handcraft shop and the paintings in the hall - to 'soften up' a big area.
• This is not for extern use,just an obeservation: One or two of the staff at the breakfast did not seem to like foreign visitores.If one person of the staf can understand English it is enough - but then the person must be call upon if there is any problems with the communication.(this is not a complaint - it is only a sigh- when there are a lot of serviceminded staff - the few who is not ,is very visible)

• hot water took 5 minutes, sun came through the blinds, very noisy with demonstrations the whole time.

Beautifull old building, very centrally located, extremely nice personel. Big old style rooms, some of them need furniture renewal and others good. Food not good.
