Tisza Hotel

A nice traditional Hungarian style hotel ideally located close to the centre with a great complex of open air pools just over the bridge. Felt really comfortable in the hotel, staff were very friendly.

	Good breakfast and just a walk from cafe's, restaurants and local points of interest
	Bar not open enough in the foyer

it's ok, has a great locatian (in center of szeged) you can walk through the square, easy acces to restaurants .....it's ok if you are staying for a night or two to visit the city

We were just one night,but we enjoid our staing in Szeged and the Hotel.

Good location, acceptable rates but ugly furniture and poor bathroom.

	It was good to see that the receptionist speaks fluent Italian (with the Italian guests). It's very rare in Hungary.
	The poor, communism-era enterior style.

This is a charming but very old-fashioned hotel at an excellent location in the heart of the city. The commendably nice staff compensate for some of the inconveniences of staying at this place, which has an interior resembling a turn-of-the-century hospital rather than a hotel. There are a lot of steps to negotiate within the hotel, the rooms are small, the window air conditioners are noisy, the furniture is beautiful but strictly late 19th Century and the bathrooms are a challenge in many ways. Yet, overall, this hotel offers more enjoyment than displeasure. Also, the choice of hotels in Szeged is limited and this may be the best one.

	The hotel staff from the reception desk to the cleaning personnel are absolutely wonderful. They greet people at every occasion, keep a smile on their faces and are about as helpful as anybody can be. Whatever the guests needs may be, they will try to help, even if they only understand Hungarian.
	The bathrooms are spotlessly clean but would benefit from some modernization of fixtures and lighting.
