Glasgow's The Arches has come a long way since its opening under Glasgow's Central Station in 1991.
This multi-entertainment venue hosts exhibitions, theatre, live music, club nights and is also home to an obligatory bar.
With 65,000 sq ft of floor space spread over two floors and seven arches (hence the name), the venue has welcomed hundreds of thousands of visitors over the last 17 years.
In 2005 alone, over 200,000 people went through the doors for a range of events.
Over the years, the building has been home to plays by writers including Samuel Beckett and Tennessee Williams, performed by the Arches Theatre Company.
Furthermore, the club nights here are legendary, welcoming some of the world's best DJs, such as Carl Cox, Armin van Buuren, Pete Tong and Judge Jules, with music ranging from electrosleaze to chemical pop.
For the venue's 15th birthday celebration in 2005, Liz Lochhead, the Scottish playwright and director, along with DJ Carl Cox, became patrons of the Arches.
