What a great hotel right in the middle of Madrid - De Las Letras. Located in an old, historic building on Gran Via, the hotel has been completely re-designed and now offers literary-themed guest rooms, an exciting new bar that all the young and beautiful people go to and a great spa and pool complex.

The building itself showcases ornately arched windows, balconies and that old world charm. However, the interior is a different story altogether. The walls, clearly a modern influence are graced with curious quotations, which intrigue and start up conversation. If you want to have dinner, you can do so right at the hotel. The menu? Mediterranean-Asian fusion. And it's all good.

The hotel has 103 rooms, which are graced in rich and vibrant colors that stimulate the senses. If you are wanting contemporary interior features - you got them here. The rooms even have plasma televisions (what hotel has these??) The ceilings are high and the parquet floors are tasteful. If you step up to a suite, you'll enjoy a sun-terrace, outdoor jacuzzi and fantastic city views, which overlook much of the area, including the hottest street in town.

Enjoy the De Las Letras Hotel!
