Tourists will be clambering over each other quite literally for Spain's annual Human Pyramid Festival in the town of Algemesi.
Taking place between September 7th and 8th, the living constructions form part of Valencia's wider Fiesta de la Virgen de la Salud (Virgin of Good Health).
The event is marked with masses and processions but, aside from the religious element, there is also dancing, music, food and wine on offer.
Entertainment culminates in the flesh and bone skyscrapers made by daring muixeranga, or acrobats, in a tradition dating back hundreds of years.
The human tower record currently stands at ten tiers and it is not uncommon for up to 50 festival-goers to take part in pyramid projects at a time.
For more examples, visit the city of Tarragona during its mid-August Sant Magi festival or time your holiday to coincide with biennial championships in the sport, also held there.
