She performed miracles, each year 100 strong Italian men try one in her memory by pushing a five-tonne monument up hill for the Feast of Santa Rosa.
The lady in question is, Saint Rosa, who has been remembered in her birthplace the Italian city of Viterbo for helping the village overcome pestilence, preaching and performing miracles.
Viterbo's Basilica contains her body, which was disinterred from common ground after she died.
The monument or Macchina is 30 metres high and lights up the streets at night.
It starts its journey from the Saint Sisto Church, stopping at Piazza Fontana Grande, Piazza del Plebiscito, Piazza delle Erbe and Piazza Verdi.
The last stage from Piazza Verdi to Santa Rosa church is the hardest for the men, in traditional red and white costumes, as it is 150 metres up a steep slope.
The festival takes place on September 3rd in Viterbo, 100 km north of Rome.
